On the 13th of December 2018, the Advisory Board meeting of the Smart City Forum. Maciej Bluj, Chairman of the Advisory Board, together with local authorities, representatives of public administration and business as well as experts of the smart city market debated on the topic proposals for the agenda of the next edition of the event. The result of the substantive, lively discussion was to determine the direction in which the spring edition of the congress will follow.

Smart Citizen was recognised as one of the most important fields which needs attention. With more emphasis than in previous editions of the Smart City Forum, debates and presentations will touch on the topic of citizens and their role in creating the strategy of a modern city. The topic of security will certainly not be missing. Participants of the congress will be guided by the vision of a modern city which uses innovative technological solutions. One can not forget that these changes come together with the privacy and comfort of citizens. Looking at the multitude of Smart City solutions, functionality should also be remembered. It’s necessary to integrate solutions so that the resident can intuitively, and with greater ease, use the opportunities that are available to them.
Speaking of residents, the topic of public payments or the management of paid parking areas can’t be missing. The solutions presented at the congress will deal with real problems that residents face every day.

As always, the Smart City Forum will be a platform to exchange experiences and present achievements related to the development of the city towards smart.
The implementation of the agenda points will take place through an interesting form of firechats, debates, lectures, short use cases and thematic table talks. During this season, the proportion of standard panel talks will be reduced in favour of short, meaningful presentations. In this formula, the representation of cities and suppliers of modern solutions will be able to depict projects that have been successfully implemented. All this to give a handful of inspiration and concrete examples and to indicate what’s needed for a happy, intelligent city that serves its residents.

The specific substantive scope of the 9th Smart City Forum will be presented soon.
